Hi, everyone. Mike Hoff here. I wanted to take a quick moment to introduce myself as the new manager. I grew up at Wedgwood and couldn’t be happier to be back working here. This is where I spent my childhood, had my first job, and made so many memories. Wedgwood is a special place to me, and I am ecstatic that I get to share it with you all.

I have some big shoes to fill with Raab stepping aside and he will be missed. Come on down to the pool and sign the thank you poster in the lobby thanking Raab for all his years as manager.

I am going to be sending out weekly updates in this format with the pool schedule, announcements, upcoming events, and miscellaneous info.

Upcoming lesson registration!

Group Swim Lessons: 
Member registration for Session 1 of swim lessons is this Wednesday May 31st in person at the pool from 6-7pm. If you cannot make it in person, you can also call the pool during this time (206-523-8211) or email the lesson coordinator (wwlessoncoordinator@gmail.com). In order to provide priority registration for WW members, we are not able to do member registration online. 

There will be 5 sessions during the summer. Group lessons will run Monday-Thursday and sessions will be two weeks long unless otherwise indicated

· Session 1:  June 26th-29th (1 week session)
· Session 2:  July 3rd- July 13th   (no lessons monday July 4th)
· Session 3:  July 17th-27th 
· Session 4:  July 31st-August 10th
· Session 5:  August 14th-24th

* Note: Session 1 will have limited availability due to most staff being in school with Seattle Public Schools at this time. Most classes offered will be for younger levels (Preschool 1-Beginner 1). If you are hoping for a higher level during session 1, please let me know and I will take that under consideration. 

Private Lessons:
If you would like to schedule private lessons, please fill out this request form.
This form DOES NOT guarantee you a spot in private lessons, it simply collects your information to add you to our interest list. If a lifeguard has availability, they will contact you directly to schedule.

Pool Opens Saturday, May 20 Join us from noon to 2 p.m. for complimentary hot dogs served fresh off the grill as we celebrate the start of our 60th summer season! Please note, as in years past, opening weekend is limited to pool members only — i.e., no guests. New Member Orientation New to the pool? Get a brief orientation at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, with pool staff and board members. We’ll meet at the south side of the pool. Your Membership Directory Listing  Attention all full members and users: The pool directory will be going to press the first week in June. By June 1, please be sure we have your current information and directory preferences (i.e., whether you wish to have your email, telephone, etc., excluded). To access your account, log onto the pool website at http://wwpool.org/build2014/, select the “Members Only” tab, and follow the instructions for accessing your membership data. Please send requested changes to membership@wwpool.org by June 1. Directory Cover Artwork Members between the ages of 5 and18 are encouraged to submit art to be used for this year’s membership directory cover. Selected artists will have their entries printed on either the front or back cover.Use an 8½” x 11” white blank sheet of paper and fold it in half the hamburger way (i.e., landscape format folded in half).Draw on one side of the paper. (The entry will be 8 ½” high x 5”wide.)Use black ink and white paper.Include the words “Wedgwood Swim Pool Directory” and “2023″ in your design.Write your name and age on the back of the drawing.Drop off your entry at the pool by Wednesday, May 31.Questions?
