Please note, as in years past, opening weekend is limited to pool members only — i.e., no guests. New Member Orientation New to the pool? Get a brief orientation at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, with pool staff and board members. We’ll meet at the south side of the pool. Your Membership Directory Listing Attention all full members and users: The pool directory will be going to press the first week in June. By June 1, please be sure we have your current information and directory preferences (i.e., whether you wish to have your email, telephone, etc., excluded). To access your account, log onto the pool website at http://wwpool.org/build2014/, select the “Members Only” tab, and follow the instructions for accessing your membership data. Please send requested changes to membership@wwpool.org by June 1. Directory Cover Artwork Members between the ages of 5 and18 are encouraged to submit art to be used for this year’s membership directory cover. Selected artists will have their entries printed on either the front or back cover.Use an 8½” x 11” white blank sheet of paper and fold it in half the hamburger way (i.e., landscape format folded in half).Draw on one side of the paper. (The entry will be 8 ½” high x 5”wide.)Use black ink and white paper.Include the words “Wedgwood Swim Pool Directory” and “2023″ in your design.Write your name and age on the back of the drawing.Drop off your entry at the pool by Wednesday, May 31.Questions? Reminder: Swim Team Kickoff and Practice Dates The swim season kickoff meeting with the coaches will be Thursday, May 18, at 7 p.m. Look for an invite sent separately via TeamUnify or contact swimteam@wwpool.org. Evening practices begin Monday, May 22, for all ages. Practice times are as follows, Monday through Thursday: Ages 8 and under 6 – 6:30 p.m. 9 -10 6:30 – 7 p.m. 11-12 7 – 7:45 p.m. 13 -14 7:45 – 8:30 p.m. 15 + 8:30 – 9:15 p.m. Policy Change on Pool Membership Sales If you are a full member of the pool and would like to continue to have the option of selling your pool membership with your home after Dec. 31, 2023, please submit a written and signed request to the Membership Chair through U.S. postal mail to: Wedgwood Pool Attn: Membership P.O. Box 15104 Seattle, WA 98115 Requests must be received in writing through the U.S. mail no later than Dec. 31, 2023. Members new to the pool after Dec. 31, 2023, will not have the option of selling their pool membership with their homes.
