Thanks for making it such a great week (especially the weekend) down at the pool. We had a fun and very well attended almost anything goes and adult party. Keep an eye out for the next one happening in late July (date to be confirmed soon). They are always a fun time for the kids and a great opportunity for the adults to see old friends and make new ones in the Wedgwood community.

Hello swimmers,

Welcome to June-uary! We have enjoyed seeing all you down at the pool
these first couple of weeks!

Adult Party & Almost Anything Goes Saturday June 9th 6-8pm

Mark your calendars for the first adult party and almost anything goes for this coming Saturday!  On the top deck there will be appetizers, snacks, soft drinks, beer and wine along with great conversations with your fellow Wedgwood swimmers. Down below the kids will be enjoying some sweet treats and almost anything goes in the pool. No sign up needed, just bring yourself and a good attitude!

We will host a swimsuit Try-on Day on WEDNESDAY, May 15 at the pool. We will be there from 5:30-6:45pm. For those who are new or unfamiliar, we work with D&J Sports for team suits and other related gear (these suits are not required to participate on the swim team). The order deadline will be on May 20th, so this is an opportunity to try on suits to see what fits best. When the store link opens (around May 1st) we will send that out separately. 

As a reminder practice begins on May 20th (Monday through Thursday) for all ages:

·       8 & Under – 6:00pm – 6:30pm

·       9 -10 – 6:30pm – 7:00pm

·       11-12 – 7:00pm – 7:45pm

·       13 -14 – 7:45pm – 8:30pm

·       15 +  – 8:30pm – 9:15pm

The Wedgwood Pool Board of Directors is considering a plan that will give adult children (over 26 years of age) of Active Full Members the option of purchasing an Annual Immediate Family Pass under the Full Member’s account.  With this plan, the adult child and family must be on the pool’s wait list to qualify. 
 
The adult children and their family may use the pool without being accompanied by the Full Member as a paid guest and will have full access to the pool and all activities, including swim team and water polo (participation on Swim Team is not allowed for guests). The cost of the Annual Immediate Family Pass will be the same as the annual pool dues ($1,350.00 in 2024) but because the Pass holder will not pay the Membership Fee it provides no ownership in the pool and the Family Pass holder may not vote on pool issues.  Because this is a trial, the Annual Immediate Family Pass does not carry a guarantee for access to the pool for more than one year.
 
This option is available to all Full Members who have 3 years of continuous active membership (without a leave of absence) and their adult children, but it may be of special interest to Members with children and grandchildren currently on the Waitlist but unable to take full advantage of pool activities.  If we have more requests for the Immediate Family Pass than we can accommodate, offers will be made based on the Waitlist number of the Full Member’s Adult Child.

The deadline to apply for this opportunity is May 15^th.  After May 15^th we will notify interested families of the status of their request.

Last week to enjoy the pool!

It is Labor Day so we hope to see you all down at the pool today! Swim-a-thon raising Monday for No More Under from 8:40 AM – 12:00PM

• 12 & Under (8:40AM -9:40AM)
• 13-18 years (9:50AM-10:50AM)
• Adults (11:00AM-12:00PM)

After we re-group from our morning of fundraising, the Labor Day games and ping pong tournament will be going from 2:00 PM –4:00 PM. There will be candy four our game participants and awards for the top ping-pongers! Guests are welcome for the labor day games.

Looking ahead to the schedule this week, we will have shorter hours. The schedule is posted below.

No Guests 9/9 & 9/10 (closing weekend): Please remember that the final weekend will be members only.

Early morning lap swim is ON Tuesday 8/22 6-8am. Forecast looks promising overnight so we are a go for tomorrow morning!

Hello swimmers,

Sadly, the pool is closed for the day due to air quality. The AQI is now over 150ppm. We are making this decision based on the health and safety of our guards and you, our patrons. 

We have installed a PurpleAir air quality sensor at the pool and will be using that to make our decisions about closing. You can see it over on the sidebar of this website (only visible on mobile if you turn your phone to landscape orientation).

We will be making the call about whether or not we will be open for early lap swim tomorrow at 9pm tonight and will send out another email and update the website.
